A UK police force, has just taken delivery of a brand new Mitsubishi Evo X patrol car, to add to its existing fleet of Evolution VIII and IX cars. The high performance models are used by Yorkshire Police as both a visual and actual deterrent to criminals, who might have ideas about out running officers in a high-speed chase.

 
Talking about the need to employ the high spec model, Inspector Slack of the South Yorkshire Road Crime Unit said, "The Evo X was the car of choice, because of its excellent pursuit capabilities and the fact that so much time and effort has been put into maximising performance whilst minimising the risk of accidents".
