It is widely considered to be the first true supercar and many argue is the most beautiful car ever made. Built between 1966 and 1973 only 764 examples of the stunning Lamborghini Miura were ever made and a 1971 example has just been fully restored by Lamborghini themselves as part of the car’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

Lamborghini's Polostorico division, which looks after classic parts and full restorations, carried out the work. This is the first full project to be completed by Polostorico, a 1971 Miura SV. It was completed in Verde Metallizata exterior colour and given a pristine tan interior.

To perform the restoration, Lamborghini fully stripped the chassis and engine of the Miura and followed the car's original production sheet to make sure that every component matched the original spec. The models has particular significance as it was the first pre-production SV model originally made for the 1971 Geneva motor show.
