AkzoNobel's Lesonal brand has been granted technical approval on a global basis by Volkswagen AG.

The granting of the approval was made following intensive testing to demonstrate Lesonal products compliance with Volkswagen’s repair specifications.

AkzoNobel's Sikkens brand, has been approved by VW since 1994 and the addition of the Lesonal option will widen choice for VW repairers.  

Kerstin Stranimaier, Director of Marketing for AkzoNobel said, “We’re very pleased to gain approval for Lesonal and re-affirm Volkswagen’s approval of our Sikkens brand.” He added, “Volkswagen AG is one of the most highly respected automotive manufacturers in the world, and our relationship with Volkswagen is extremely important.”
