Renowned for its original equipment-quality spark plugs, glow plugs and NTK Lambda sensors, NGK is making an important addition to its portfolio with the introduction of a wide-ranging selection of ignition coils.

The launch, with more than 300 part numbers, will give NGK Spark Plugs one of the most comprehensive ignition coils ranges available in the automotive aftermarket and will include a variety of coil types, from the classic cylinder coils, distributor coils and block ignition coils, to connector ignition coils and ignition coil systems.

Tim Ward, Deputy General Manager, Sales & Marketing, NGK Spark Plugs said: “This is a major launch for the company and one that gives us an even stronger product offering for our distributor and garage customers. Ignition is our core competence. Consequently, we can vouch for the quality of the ignition coils that carry our name because we have ensured that they meet our own high standards.” He added, “Our range is one of the widest in the market, and will provide our customers with the opportunity to generate additional business. They can now cover the entire ignition process from one source and streamline their ordering process.”

Tim also pointed out, “For our customers, it is important that they can place trust in our competence at all times. The key word here is credibility. We do not expand our product portfolio at any cost, but rather only where it makes most sense and where it creates the largest advantage for our customers. Ignition coils are in keeping with our brand and, above all, with our skills as an ignition specialist.”

NGK says all their ignition coils guarantee outstanding and reliable ignition, the highest levels of electromagnetic tolerance and long durability. A special part number system has been developed with the ignition coils range being divided into six categories. For each of these, distributors and workshops can work out in an instant how many ignition coils they need for a vehicle or how many ignition cables must be ordered if these also have to be replaced.

As well as the part number, the label on an NGK ignition coil package will show an illustration of the ignition coil type contained, making it easier to find the required coil. New catalogues, brochures, point-of-sale material and technical information have been produced to support the ignition coils launch.
