The Autobiz technical tips library continues to grow and the latest additions can be viewed at www.TechTips.ie.
The site provides the largest single online technical information resource in Europe and access to what is now approaching 3,000 documents and videos is totally free.
Drawing on information from leading aftermarket suppliers, the site provides solutions to problems that workshops are encountering on a daily basis. Users can also use the intelligent search function to find the required information by make, model, part or type of problem quickly in one location. This means they can save a huge about of time when researching solutions to technical issues.
Recent additions to the site include:
- Technical Bulletins from ContiTech about some common problems, solutions and installation tips for common engines/models, including timing belt installation guides for the VAG 1.4/1.6 16V, VAG 1.8T/2.0 and the Ford 1.2/1.4/1.6 16V engine. The bulletins range from giving tips on avoiding tensioner installation related problems to complete timing belt kit installation instructions.
- Videos from Arnott that give step by step instructions on how to remove the failing air suspension on a 2007-13 Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W221 w/ AIRMATIC, w/o 4MATIC) and replace it with a Arnott coil spring conversion kit. There are also a large number of videos in which Arnott gives detailed step by step instructions on front or rear shocks on many makes and models that are popular on Ireland’s rough roads.
