NGK Spark Plugs has a trio of iconic motorbikes on its stand at this year‘s Motorcycle Live 2015, including machines ridden by legendary two-wheel racing world champions Barry Sheene and Valentino Rossi.

The company, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary in the UK and Ireland this year, has long been synonymous with the two-wheel bike scene both on the road and also in the motorcycling racing arena where its spark plugs have helped the world’s leading teams and riders to numerous victories. As such it is playing a major role at the show which runs until December 6th at the NEC Birmingham.

The featured bikes, supplied by Phil Morris and normally displayed at his Oswestry Road Racing Museum, are a 160mph 500cc Suzuki XR/05/TR500 III ridden by Sheene in 1974, Valentino Rossi’s Team ITALIA Aprilia RS 125cc  number two bike from 1997 and a 1000cc 200mph MotoGP ART Aprilia from 2012 raced by James Ellison.

NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd Marketing Manager Mark Hallam said: “We are delighted that we have been able to obtain these classic motorcycles from Phil Morris and I am sure that they will generate a lot of interest at the show from racing enthusiasts.”
Motorcycle Live 2015 covers four halls and features new bikes, all the latest kit, and live entertainment as well as leading names from the world of racing including World and British Superbikes, MotoGP and Isle of Man TT riders.
