Over 75% of drivers ignore service intervals

Only a shocking 22% of drivers are taking notice of vehicle service intervals, according to new figures released by Kwik-Fit.

It seems most drivers are still waiting for their MOT or NCT time to carry out essential maintenance on their cars, something that could cost them big in reduced fuel efficiency, breakdowns and reduced vehicle value.

The survey also found that of drivers who book a service, 12% have done so because of strange noises and 11% because of poor performance. An amazing 3% of drivers said they never have their cars serviced.

The figures also show how a timely reminder that a car needs a service by a garage, could make a real difference to business.
