A tow truck driver in Manchester found himself under the spotlight recently, when he attended a Police call to lift a vehicle. The car, a brand new white Porsche Panamera, was apparently being driven illegally by a driver with an invalid international drivers licence.
The driver of the car was Manchester City footballer Carlos Tevez, who was still using an international licence, despite being told 12 months ago by Police that he needed to change it for a valid UK licence.
The Argentina striker’s car was confiscated and he was then forced to watch as it was loaded on to the back of a tow-truck. His club will now help him secure the correct driving paperwork and he is expected to receive three penalty points and a fine. On an estimated wage of £200,000 per week, he should not have too much trouble paying it.
