Over 600 tyre outlets have joined Repak ELT, this exceeds the 2016 target set by the Department of the Environment by more than 25%.  These 600 plus outlets have committed to securing a sustainable future for industry in joining and reporting to Repak ELT and are fully committed to the environmental management of their waste tyres generated.

Repak ELT’s objective is to ensure that all end of life tyres generated by members are taken out of the waste stream and managed to the highest environmental standards.  A list of all Repak ELT outlets can be found on www.repakelt.ie.  Local authorities in each area also received a list.

As more outlets become compliant the focus of enforcement on non-compliant operators will increase. Each new operator who joins the Repak ELT scheme is not only complying with the law and helping the environment, they are also supporting each other in highlighting and identifying non-compliant operators to the public.

Repak ELT is a not for profit organisation, who operate under license from the DECLG, to run the single waste compliance scheme for end of life tyres in Ireland. For registration and more information visit www.repakelt.ie
