Schaeffler highlights DSG opportunities at special training sessions
Share:

The Schaeffler Technical Team was out in force in Ireland last week delivering specialist training on the fast expanding area of DSG clutch repair. The technical training team visited motor factors and garages in Cork, Sligo, Donegal and Dublin providing practical training to give technicians the knowledge and confidence to provide what is an increasingly called for service, but one that can only be offered with the right training and qualifications.

Malcolm Short, Schaeffler Technical Services Manager provided several of the training courses including one to PartforCars and Southside Motor Factors customers in the HQ of Schaeffler distributor Serfac in Dublin. The training demonstrated how the Schaeffler’s LuK RepSet 2CT can offer an effective repair solution for dry double-clutch transmissions as now used on the  7-speed transmission used by Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen and the 6-speed transmission used by Renault and Ford. Some 15 million vehicles globally and 40% of all new VW Group cars are now equipped with this technology and as an OE supplier LuK is the first to be able to offer an effective aftermarket repair solution backed by specialist tools and training.
