SsangYong have wasted little time upgrading their Korando with a new makeover inside and out, and enhanced driving refinement.

The Korean brand has only been in the Irish market 18 months and is already upgrading their crossover SUV which features an enhanced exterior, upgraded interior and reduced engine noise.

Externally, the front receives an all-new, sportier treatment. A tapered black mesh radiator grille, more contemporary headlights and a wider, low level air intake are the key enhancements. The new headlight units now comprise of projection lamps and LED daytime running lights for increased visibility and safety, surrounded by a stylish black and aluminium surround.

At the rear, the design changes are focused on enhanced style with detail improvements such as the rear light cluster, which now includes LED lights for improved visibility and style.

There are new designs for both the 16-inch and 17-inch wheels, and three new exterior colours - Sunrise Red, Cosmic Blue and Carbonic grey as well as Space black, Grand white and Silent Silver.

The interior of the car has also been given a significant upgrade, with soft touch materials throughout. Piano and wood-grain details enhance the ambience in the car, while swirling curves and angular shapes combine to give the dash and door panels a distinctly modern feel.

The new Korando is powered by a modern yet well-proven 2.0-litre Euro 5 engine.  This is the same engine that was in the previous Korando yet improved noise reduction in the car makes for a more refined driving experience. The smooth and efficient 149ps e-XDi200 2 litre diesel engine delivers a flat torque curve of 360NM from 2000 RPM right through to 3000 RPM.
