Standox takes colour management to new level

Standox has comprehensively revised its colour search software, Standowin and has re-launched it as Standowin iQ. This next-generation software is now web-based in order to help make bodyshop colour management even more professional.

Standox says the most fundamental benefit for bodyshops is that the colour database is updated automatically every time the software is connected to the Internet. That will not only help to give Standowin iQ users increased confidence, as they will have almost immediate access to the latest products and formulas, but also makes manual DVD updates unnecessary, saving time.

In addition, the upgraded software behind Standowin iQ offers added data security. Data can be backed up online and easily restored in the event of computer failure.

All information is also stored locally on the PC so it can be retrieved even when there is no Internet connection. Bodyshops that do not want to search for formulas online can use the new Standowin iQ in different ways. For example, the programme can retrieve the last five colour searches. This functionality is practical and can help bodyshops save time. In addition Standowin iQ has a wide selection of different performance modules which can easily be customised to suit the individual needs of each bodyshop.

The software can  run on PCs, smartphones or tablets, making its use completely flexible. No matter where it is used from, Standowin iQ can send formulas directly to the scales or to fully-automated dosing systems. Customised and bodyshop-specific formulas can be retrieved from different PCs via Standowin iQ, even if they are not networked. This offers large bodyshops and bodyshop networks, added flexibility.

"The enhanced Standowin iQ provides bodyshops with advanced software that offers support in finding the right colour,” says Anthony Cashel, Marketing Manager for Axalta Coating Systems. He adds, "The programme has been designed to make the numerous work processes associated with colour management more efficient.”
