TEXA has released a new version of its popular IDC4 diagnostic software. IDC4E is the result of continues development and close communication with professional technicians. The new TRUCK 36 and CAR 58 versions will be followed by new releases for the bike, off-road and marine sectors.

The latest development features a significant increase in coverage and the addition of new vehicles. TEXA says it is also easier to use than ever before due to a new user interface with larger, more intuitive icons that group together and highlight the functions most commonly used in garages.

Some of the new features are designed to save precious time in the workshop are:
  • Global Systems Scanning through the TGS3s function. Vehicle Maintenance, Settings, Codes and Device Check functions have all been included in the Auto diagnostics menu for easy use.
  • The vehicle selection process has been redesigned to make it more intuitive and to reduce the number of steps involved. Vehicles can now be selected in just a few clicks. The new “START” button, located alongside the selected system, provides instant access to the ERRORS screen.
  • Navigation between screens is easier than ever thanks to the introduction of quick tabs for PARAMETERS, ERROR, ECU INFO and ACTIVATIONS SETTINGS.
  • A new function called "Wiring Diagram Detail" makes an instant link between the error read from the control unit and the corresponding component on the wiring diagram. From the wiring diagram users can access the test functions and device descriptions typical of the IDC4 operating environment.
  • Favourite parameters can now be created, enabling users to create logical parameter groupings. The reorganised software also lets users access all the vehicle's technical documentation directly from the Auto diagnostics function.
  • The customer management section has been redesigned and lets users manage customers through detailed profiles of their vehicles and the repairs carried out.
The 1st version of IDC4E will be V36 Truck. This will be available to all TEXA customers who have valid TEXPACK upgrade contracts in place.
