With many cars now returning to the roads after lockdown, wiper specialist TRICO, says now is an excellent time to check wiper blades and replace them where required. With wipers getting little or no use, many will have deteriorated, so making sure they are safe and able to deliver good visibility where required is vital.

When it comes to replacement, TRICO says it’s recently rejuvenated its Flex range, offers motorists a potential step up in wiper technology at an affordable price. TRICO Flex means that wipers can easily be switched from conventional hook arm blades to premium beam blade wiper technology economically. The range can also be used to replace OE-fit beam blades.

The slim-line Flex range also offer 97% car parc coverage from only 14 part numbers making it an ideal way for garages and retailers to offer a comprehensive wiper blade solution with minimal stock commitment.

Flex also offers other benefits such as, easy connection technology for fast fitting, memory curve steel beams for uniform pressure and a clean wipe and durable, all weather blade construction. Flex blades have also been tested to perform over 1.5 million cycles and are available in lengths from 350mm to 800mm.

TRICO Product and Brand Manager, Sam Robinson says the general advice from TRICO is that blades should be visually checked on a monthly basis and replaced every six to twelve months, particularly in the spring and autumn. However, they should also be carefully checked as vehicle are used to more as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
