Volvo Car Ireland Ltd is proud to continue our support of the Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta in 2013. The Regatta is taking place between July 11th and 14th 2013 at one of the world’s most beautiful man-made harbour Dun Laorighre harbour.

This is the fourth year that Volvo Car Ireland has been involved in this event and the second year that Volvo Car Ireland has been joined as title sponsor by our principal dealer in South Dublin, Spirit Motor Group.

The Volvo brand is synonymous with sailing around the world from the Volvo Ocean race which finished in Galway in 2012 to various local sailing regattas.

The Volvo Dun Laoghire Regatta is the largest sailing regatta in Ireland with almost 400 boats participating this year in various categories.

Many of the participating boats have travelled from around Ireland and further afield to participate in what is a pinnacle event for Irish sailing.

This is an important event for the South Dublin community where our customers live work and engage in sailing as an important part of life. Dun Laoghaire has one of the most beautiful, cultural and historic settings in the world with the perfect location and facilities for both competitors and spectators alike.

There is a daily prize giving in each sailing club and a varied social programme devised to give you, your crew, your family and your friends great reasons to spend your time at the regatta.

There is also Live Music, Dancing, Drinks receptions, BBQs and many dining options for those not entirely focussed on the sailing.
A full range of new Volvo vehicles will also be on display on the Plaza beside the duration of the event from the new Volvo XC60 to the versatile and eye catching V40.

We wish all competitors the best of luck and hopefully they will get good racing conditions to make an exciting competition for all
