The Vehicle Repairers Association (VRA), the representative organisation established by bodyshop owners in Co. Mayo, is continuing in its quest to go nationwide and expand it membership right across Ireland.

Over recent months the association, founded by bodyshop owners John Moran and Sean Hegarty has been very active and steadily expanding its membership. Representatives from the VRA have had a successful meeting with the EPA and the Department of the Environment, where they voiced their concerns over the policing of environmental legislation.

The organisation is now writing to all licensed accident repairers in Ireland, who have completed their AIC inspections, in order to canvas their views on the industry and appeal to them to support the new association. John Moran says, “We are hoping to bring on board professional support to assist in the development of the VRA over the coming months and to help with tackling some of the key issues affecting our industry at present.”
