M6 Car Auctions have taken a step towards allaying the perceived fears of purchasing cars from auctions. They have introduced the option of a warranty, in association with Mapfre Asistencia, who own the motor assistance company 'Ireland Assist'.

Buyers at M6 car auctions welcome this new move. One customer, who is a regular buyer at M6, stated that this is really going to bring confidence back to the old saying ‘sold as seen’. And while all vehicles are sold as seen, the customer now has the option of purchasing a warranty on the vehicle for €199 for 12 months. This is a major coup for M6 car auctions, which have in excess of 600 cars sold since opening last March.

Commenting on the new move Tom Lynskey of M6 car auctions said, ‘it is great to give our buyers the option of a warranty on their car for up to 12 months, if there isn’t a manufacturers warranty on the car already. The warranty applies to cars that are less than 10 years old and have travelled less than 200,000 kms”.
