First Line has added another dimension to its cable range with the addition of OE quality gear control cables.

First Line identified a requirement from the independent aftermarket for an OE quality replacement to service the gear control mechanism on the front wheel drive Ford Transit 2.0 TDCi Mark VI with a VXT 75 manual transmission, made between 2000 to 2006. Until now, these cables have only been available from Ford franchised dealers or Ford specialist parts suppliers.

First Line has worked closely with its supplier to satisfy demand for an OE quality alternative for this application and as a result can now offer a direct replacement that accurately meets the specification of the original items. The cables are easy to identify as one has a grey end housing and is used to control gears one to five, and the other is blue, which controls neutral and reverse.

This new addition forms part of a range of almost 2,500 accelerator, clutch, speedo and brake cables. All of these are rigorously tested to ensure that they provide a range with the highest standard of quality, durability and reliability.
