Audi Ireland has announced the sale of more than 4,000 registered vehicles for the year-to-date.
This is the first time Audi has achieved this milestone since 2008. Audi remains Ireland’s number one premium car marque with 33.5% of the premium car market year-to-date.
Audi Ireland’s continued success in the Irish market mirrors figures released by The Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) in July which show that the motor industry continues to recover. According to SIMI, new car sales were up 23% in the first half of 2014, already selling more than all of 2013.* With consumer confidence on the increase, the outlook for the second half of the year remains positive.
There has been significant growth across all Audi model segments from the Audi A1 up to the A8; Audi’s €94,000 luxury flagship saloon. Notably A3 sales have increased by more than 50% this year, largely through the introduction of the A3 Saloon in the Irish market.
Increasingly flexible and tailored finance packages from Audi Finance have also contributed to Audi’s success during this period with three out of every four financed Audi cars in Ireland sold via a Personal Contract Plan (PCP) finance product.
Christian Gussen, managing director, Audi Ireland commented; “Reaching over 4,000 registered vehicle sales is an achievement we are extremely proud of at Audi Ireland. We are confident that this upward trend will continue into next year with further sales growth in a larger volume 2015 car market.
“With the imminent launch of four new Audi models - the much anticipated all-new TT launching in October, the new A6 and A7 in November and the all-new Audi A3 e-tron, Audi’s first Plug-In Hybrid – we believe we are well positioned to increase the number of people choosing to drive an Audi in Ireland and remain Ireland’s number one premium car marque.”
