Flame treatment adds to Somora bumper quality

Somora continues to expand its range of replacement bumpers with some very significant additions to its certified quality bumper line-up. These replacement bumpers can offer a bodyshop or garage big savings over dealer sourced bumpers and because they are part of the Somora Certified Body Parts Programme the quality is guaranteed meaning a perfect fit, first time, every time.

The bumpers are sourced from a leading European supplier and come pre-coated with a high quality primer. This can make the replacement and refinishing process more straightforward, saving time and cutting cost on the job. Prior to priming the bumpers undergo a unique flame treatment which heats up the bumper material and opens up the pores of the polypropylene surface. This then allows for vastly improved adhesion of the primer, producing a highly durable surface perfect for recoating.

As well as being fully primed these bumpers also offer excellent flexibility and are fully fracture tested down to -10°C. This means that they are less likely than many bumpers to crack on impact.

The Somora Certified Body Parts Programme covers a comprehensive parts selection across most makes and models including; bonnets, bumpers, wings, front panel assemblies, grilles, mouldings, trim and much more. The parts are all manufactured to exact specifications and are all independently certified by TÜV, Centro Zaragoza, Thatcham or CAPA the four main organisations involved in the certification of aftermarket body parts. This means that all of these parts have been subjected to a strict test programme that covers, quality of fit, interconnection with other components, fitting times, control of raw materials, and many other aspects of the manufacturing process. Som0ra issues these parts with a Certificate of Matching Quality to show that they meet strict EU and BSI standards and covers them with the Somora Certified Parts Lifetime Warranty.

Somora is continually expanding it certified body panels and parts programme to offer bodyshops greater choice and more repair flexibility, which can be especially useful in cases of marginal total loss. The parts can be obtained through a nationwide network of motor factors and there is a full product catalogue with VRM look-up at www.somora.ie for easy identification.
