According to figures released by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI), the Nissan Qashqai Range has claimed the top spot in car sales in 2013.

Since January 1 the Qashqai range has sold a total of 1,335 units, accounting for almost 5% of the total car market year to date, topping the sales charts and putting it ahead of the VW Golf and Ford Focus Ranges.  The Qashqai has always been a popular model in Ireland with over 20,000 Qashqai's registered in Ireland since its launch in 2007.

Commenting on Qashqai's success, James McCarthy, Chief Executive of Nissan Ireland, said: "We are delighted that Qashqai is the most popular car of choice in Ireland.  Its great mix of stylish design, cutting-edge technologies and best in class residual values are strong contributing factors to the Qashqai's success and popularity amongst Irish motorists".
