GKN will be using the forthcoming Automechanika Exhibition in Frankfurt to introduce a new generation of CV joints to the independent repair market. A few years ago, GKN managed to launch a technological trend reversal with an innovative construction of the constant velocity fixed ball joint on the driveshaft. This new Countertrack technology has found increasing use by vehicle manufacturers, leading GKN to introduce it to the aftermarket. GKN say Countertrack offers some very significant benefits, achieving new levels of performance for driveshaft products.
Also taking a prominent role on the GKN stand at Automechanika will be SPIDAN Electric Power Steering systems. EPS systems are becoming increasingly popular on modern cars and GKN/SPIDAN has developed a range of electric racks and pinions, electric pumps and electric assisted columns to keep pace with demand for aftermarket replacement components. SPIDAN products are manufactured to OE specification and are fully tested on custom designed test regimes for each reference. Each component also comes with full in-box workshop information.
A further feature of the stand will be SPIDAN Strut Kits, a new fast fit product designed to save time and money. These pre-mounted replacement components offer an all-in-one solution, with a complete pre-assembled suspension strut and all parts need for professional repairs in one box.
THE GKN stand will be located in Hall 6, Stand No. B60 at Automechanika.
