Toyota takes on drowsy drivers
Share:

Toyota is taking the problem of sleepy drivers seriously and plans to equip its cars with a system to verify a driver’s eyes are wide open and there is no danger of falling asleep at the wheel. The system will use a driver-monitoring camera and image-processing computer to determine the position of the driver's eyelids. If the device senses that there is problem or a danger of a collision it will sound a warning to the driver.
